Patriots sign Leon Washington
Just minutes ago, the Patriots just signed return man Leon Washington, who was released by the Seahawks. After a scheduled meeting today in Foxboro, Washington himself broke the news of signing with the Patriots by tweeting a picture of himself wearing a new Pats cap.
#Blessed Lets Go #Pats instagr.am/p/W2rH4HQwpL/The return game needed a boost, and the Pats went out and found it. The former Jets and Seahawks running back has found the most success in his career as a kick and punt returner, making both the Pro Bowl and NFL All-Pro teams as the kick returner multiple times. The most recent appearance was this past year's Pro Bowl as the return man.

No word yet about whether this deal may have any effect on Julian Edelman returning to the Patriots or not, as Edelman was the team's #1 returner before his season ending injury. Details of the contract have yet to be announced, but stay with PatriotsLife for the latest updates on Washington and other Patriots news.
