Tom Brady works out with Terrell Owens
Yesterday, much to the approval of Patriots nation, Brady was spotted on the USC practice field throwing passes to his newest weapon in the slot, Danny Amendola. It's great to see them getting after it early and working to develop chemistry. It was also good to see Brady back out there again today. But this time, his target was a bit more surprising. Yes, today on the USC practice field, it was the TB to TO Show.
You read correctly, today Brady worked out with none other than former premier NFL wideout Terrell Owens, who appeared in a Seahawks uniform last year but was cut before the season began. Owens turned 39 over the winter, and cannot have much left in the tank.
That being said, if Tom Brady was to come back to the team with a positive endorsement of TO, would Bill seriously consider taking a chance on him? The interesting thing is, with the Patriots current wide receiving corps as is, Owens could actually probably compete for a spot. They did just bring in a pretty much washed up old receiver in Mike Jenkins, is it really that crazy to think they would throw TO to the wall and see if he sticks?
Yeah, it probably is that crazy. Obviously getting way ahead of myself here, but I'm interested to know what you guys would think. If you were in the Patriots shoes, would you give Terrell Owens a chance? Vote in the poll below.
