Tim Tebow signed by Patriots

According to ESPN the Patriots have signed Tim Tebow and he is expected in mini-camp tomorrow. The circus is officially on the way to New England. The circus won't mean much here as the Patriots handle their business in private and I expect it will be no issue.

Tebow obviously has interest from the person who drafted him in Josh McDaniels. A note from this is that this is just further evidence of how much pull Josh McDaniels has in the roster. McDaniels has brought in several of his former players and Tebow is just next on the list.

A few sources indicate Tebow might be used in the tight end role. If they do use him at quarterback, it will most likely be similar to how he has been used except hopefully way more successful.

Belichick has a history of loving players that can be used in many different ways. Belichick likes to be the guy to pull the diamond from the rough and make everyone else look stupid and that is no doubt one of the reasons for this signing.

This signing was reportedly discussed all the way to the top of the organization and it wasn't just a split-second decision as reported by CBS Sports Radio. This means Kraft agreed on the signing and I think that is important to note to you guys as well.

More to come I'm sure.
