Texans tag Patriots game as 'Homecoming'

The Houston Texans strolled into Foxboro last season with their heads high, their chests out, and sporting their high-school-styled letterman jackets. Some people thought they were cool and others didn't, but when you sit on an 11-1 record, you can get away with things like this. The Patriots then proceeded to embarrass the Texans (on Monday Night Football) by stacking on the points in a 42-14 win. Suddenly those letterman jackets weren't so cool anymore...

The fact that Houston's apparent status as 'best team in the AFC' was dethroned and they eventually fell apart, in addition to being bounced from the playoffs by none other than the Patriots, left them with a bitter taste in their mouths. Well it looks like they have a certain rematch circled on their calendar, as the team has dubbed their December 1st game against the Patriots as 'Homecoming'.

The team has decided to have themes for all of their home games, including "White Out" and "Hispanic Heritage Day". Is it coincidence that the Patriots game just so happens to be "Homecoming"? I think not... One can only imagine that Patriots coach Bill Belichick will use this to rally the troops. It should be real exciting to see how fired up these two teams are coming out of the gates. What will be even more exciting is when the Patriots try (and likely succeed) to top their 42-14 victory.
