Danny Amendola misses practice for second straight day

When Danny Amendola misses a practice, expect the media to be on full alert.

The former Rams wide receiver is extremely talented, but has appeared in just 12 games over the past two seasons. He was missing from practice yesterday, the reason being up to much debate. However, recent reports suggest he is dealing with an injury and could sit out the team's preseason game against the Lions this Thursday. It appears hasn't gotten better today.



There isn't a lot of game planning for a preseason game, but there is at least some for the third one. Belichick doesn't typically play players that haven't been able to prepare with the team before a game. If Amendola is missing from practice tomorrow, it's a virtual lock that we won't see him Thursday night.

Without Amendola, struggling rookie second round pick Aaron Dobson will be vaulted into a bigger role. He saw his snaps decrease significantly in the team's second preseason game against the Buccaneers.
