Patriots and Eagles tempers flare at joint practice

Brady talks to ESPN's Sal Paolantonio after practice, per @MikeReiss

The Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles have a pre-season game this weekend and what better way to start a potential rivalry than practicing together. This week, the Eagles and Patriots have scheduled joint practices with each other that is not rare for the Patriots to do as they have in the past with teams such as the New Orleans Saints.

Things did not start out as planned for the two teams as there was a little bit of a scrum today between Patriots rookie receiver Aaron Dobson and Eagles veteran cornerback Cary Williams. According to reports, Williams hit Dobson hard in the facemask and pushing ensued after the fact. Both players were taken off the field after the fight.

In other less violent news, it seems that the Patriots made the right choice not re-signing safety Patrick Chung who has looked absolutely horrendous trying to cover Patriots receivers. In fact it seems that all the Eagles secondary are having trouble so that maybe could be the reason the fight started. Check out Jeff Howe's tweet below.

So it seems everyone who has doubted the receiver corps that the Patriots currently have, are doing a pretty good job exploiting opposing defenses, even it is only preseason. Check out the Patriots take on the Eagles this Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
