Drafting in Enemy Territory - Crown Royal Reign On Fantasy League

I'm pleased to announce that Crown Royal and Patriots Life will be partnering up this season. Mainly, we'll be participating in a fantasy league with other NFL bloggers around the country. You guys will have a key hand in this as well, occasionally setting lineups and having input in other key fantasy decisions. Even more exciting, we'll be giving away lots of cool Crown Royal swag to you guys throughout the year.

To kick off the draft, we all gathered in a suite at M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Baltimore Ravens. As much as I hate the Ravens, I've got to give them props for their first-class stadium. We had the privilege of taking a tour and stepping on the field. Coming out of the same tunnel Ray Lewis did for 17 years was pretty surreal.

It was the first time I've ever stepped foot on an NFL field and it really puts things in perspective. I came away with a whole new respect for NFL quarterbacks, even those 15 yard throws are pretty damn far.

As for my team, I think things could've turned out better. Keep in mind this is a 16 team league, but Knowshon Moreno as my number two runningback isn't how I'd like things.

One thing I find hard about being a fan of a high-profile teams like the Patriots, is that none of the "sleepers" we might have inside information on are truly sleepers. Everyone's heard of guys like Kenbrell Thompkins and Zach Sudfeld by now, and so I haven't been able to grab them in any of my leagues. This one included. I did take a risk and grab the Patriots defense though, had to have something Patriots related.

Hopefully this will pay off with the Bills, Jets and Bucs in the first three weeks of the season.

Of course, with Crown Royal being a part of this, there was whisky of course. If you're a whisky connoisseur, I would highly recommend checking out Crown Royal XR. Might be a good idea to pick some up on game day.

Anyway, stay tuned for more Crown Royal Reign On themed giveaways, posts and more throughout the season and be sure to like Crown Royal on Facebook.
