NYJ 10-NE 13. Post game recap.

Week two is here, and sadly for Patriots fans it was a short week from being UP to being brought down with the news of Amendola and Vereen, and then you get a short week against the team many Patriot fans hate the most. How'd they do?

In the first quarter, the Patriots handled the flow of the game as the only Jets drive that amounted to something only resulted in a field goal. Great ball fakes from Brady, which gave Dobson the opportunity to get wide open and catch the only touchdown in the game to that point. Score: 10-3 Patriots.

Second quarter the Patriots and Jets basically traded field position as both teams punted the ball plenty of times, the Patriots did muster a field goal. Halftime score is 13-3 Patriots.

Coming into a very wet football field, the Jets got the ball going into the half and after a trade of possessions the Jets drove the ball some 55 yards and scored their first touchdown. The Patriots offensive woes continued, with their longest drive just over 2:30 in time. End of the quarter, the score is 10-13 Patriots.

The fourth quarter started, Patriot fans all on edge. The Jets drove the ball before getting into field goal range, Smith is intercepted. Following that, the two teams traded the ball a few times. Then after a less than great punt by Allen, the Patriots relied on their DEFENSE (yes, defense) to get the job done. Did they? Talib gets his second interception of the game and the Patriots get their second win of the season in ugly, yet classy fashion. 13-10 Patriots win.
