Jets' Willie Colon on Patriots: "I just hate them"

Former Steeler Willie Colon is a new Jet this year, and as a Jet he's been taught to completely and utterly hate the Patriots.

Speaking with Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, Colon was asked about his feelings for the Patriots - a team he's seen often in the AFC.

ProFootballTalk:
“I just hate them,” Colon said.

Of course, there are financial reasons, as well, as he was ejected and fined about $34,000 after his late-game fight with the Patriots’ sideline during a 13-10 loss.

“I don’t like them,” Colon said. “But at the same time you got to respect what they’ve done as an organization. Winning Super Bowls. They’ve built a tradition there where they get it done. No matter what you feel about them personally, you got to respect that they win.”

That fine might have something to do with it, or the fact that the Patriots routinely win against the Steelers, as well as the Jets.

Whatever the reason, if you play for Rex Ryan, or in the AFC North, you most likely have some disdain for the Pats.

Colon does mention that he respects the Patriots for how often they win though. So there's that.
