It's almost Turkey day, just under two weeks to be exact. But one thing that goes hand in hand with Thanksgiving, is football. Last year Patriot fans were rewarded by watching their team destroy the Jets in New York on Thanksgiving night. Every year, we are all treated to see the Lions play in the morning (or afternoon depending where you live) the Cowboys play in the early evening, and now the NFL has added one night game to the mix, this year it's the Steelers vs. Ravens.

This friendship of Turkey and football also extends across the border during Canadian Thanksgiving the country of Canada celebrates Thanksgiving on the second Monday of October. There, they have the Thanksgiving Day Classic which showcases football on Thanksgiving. This past season it was Winnipeg vs. Montreal and Toronto vs. Hamilton. While no team holds honors to continuously host Thanksgiving games, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats currently have appeared and  hosted the most, 32 and 26 respectively.

As Patriot fans, would you like to see the Patriots in more Thanksgiving games? The Patriots have appeared in Thanksgiving games twice now in the past three seasons, 2010 against the Lions and 2012 against the Jets. The Patriots have appeared in five overall with a record of 3-2. While they likely won't play next season, do you enjoy seeing the Patriots play on Thanksgiving? Or would you rather enjoy Thanksgiving without all the drama a Patriots game brings?
