Tom Brady was rooting for Manning and Welker in the Super Bowl

After the AFC Championship game, Tom Brady said he would not be watching the Super Bowl, but during an interview before the big game, Brady said he was pulling for his friends, Peyton and Wes, to hoist the Lombardi trophy.
"I'm for players. I'm not necessarily for the team as much as I am for the guys I have relationships with, and I really wanna see do well: Peyton I'm obviously friends with, I've known him for a long time; Wes Welker who's one of my best friends. I know both of them play for Denver but . . . So may the best team win. That's how I feel."
How nice of him! Brady was hoping for what we all hoped for, a good, exciting game, so I'm guessing he was pretty disappointed.
"If Peyton Manning has the ball in the final two minutes going against Seattle's defense, that's exactly what I'll be watching. At that point in the game, I'll be glued to the TV like everybody else. Those are the moments you dream of as a player, and certainly to watch two of the best -- defense and offense -- the way that they're playing, that's what I'll be rooting for."
In the final 2 minutes of the game, I doubt there were many eyes even on the television. And you've got to think Tom Brady is a LITTLE happy that Manning is still stuck at 1 ring, and Wes didn't win one since bolting from New England, but hey, who knows, maybe he's nicer than the rest of us and friendships come before the whole "legacy" crap.  @joeloobs @PatriotsLife
