Report: Jets have an interest in Chris Johnson

According to Manish Mehta, Jets writer for the New York Daily News, the Jets have an interest in running back Chris Johnson after missing out on Donald Brown and Maurice Jones-Drew. That is, if he's available.

The Jets have made some noise, signing quarterback Michael Vick and Eric Decker in the offseason, but is it enough to overcome the Patriots? If they do make a move on Johnson and do sign him, they may just finish over .500, but no way they take the AFC East crown from the Patriots. Whether the Jets will be serious contenders for Johnson is unclear, but he would make them better for sure.
