#BadLuckJets...not if you're a Pats fan, though

The Jets got a bit of bad luck from the schedule gods in mid-October. They play the reigning AFC Champs at home, then travel up here to Foxborough on Thrusday Night Football (also happens to be my birthday). That's pretty rough, if I do say so myself. Just brutal. They may want to take advantage of having 3 of their first 4 games at home, given that the Pats and Broncos may well end up the 1 & 2 seeds again.

Most Pats fans will probably feel no sympathy for the Jets. Heck, I'm just laughing, personally. The Patriots would expect to win this game anyway, but even more so this time around because the Jets are coming off a tough match-up against the top team in the AFC last year.

And, of course, Rex Ryan is trying to strike an optimistic tone about playing the top 2 teams in the AFC last year. Per CBS Sports:

“Obviously that’s a huge challenge,” Jets head coach Rex Ryan said during a conference call after the NFL announced its schedule Wednesday night. “But again, we’ll be up for it. It is a challenge. You’re facing the two best teams in the AFC last year. … But, we’ll have a lot of football to play up until that and hopefully we’re hitting our stride when we play those two teams.”

Yeah, you have fun with that, Rex. Have fun believing you can come out of that with 2 wins.
