Brandon Lloyd gives up on zombie killing, signs a one-year deal with the 49ers

Remember when Brandon Lloyd gave up on football to become a zombie slayer?

Well, under a year later, the situation has flipped. The former Patriot, Bronco, Bear, Ram, Redskin and 49er has signed a one year deal to return to where it all started, San Francisco.

It's now been a full season since Brandon Lloyd was on the Patriots. He was expected to give the Pats a much needed presence on the outside, which he did to some extent. However, he had some key dropped balls and he was terrible with yards after the catch. Not to mention, he was apparently very quirky in the locker room.

Combine all of that, and you have a receiver being cut after one year, and then retiring to go make zombie movies with Daniel Baldwin.

Lloyd was initially drafted by San Francisco all the way back in 2003, he spent three years there before moving on to just about every other team in the NFL. His best season has still been in 2010 with the Broncos when he racked up 1,448 yards , 77 catches and 11 touchdowns. All career bests.

Other than that, he's been largely inconsistent in his career. He's not likely to be guaranteed a spot on that 49er roster.
