Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson joins CFL's Montreal Alouettes

Chad Ochocinco went from being the feared receiver, Chad Johnson, to the largely irrelevant joke, Chad Ochocinco, then to the job less wife beating Chad Johnson.

What a journey he's had.

The next step in the roller-coaster that is Ochocinco takes him to Montreal, where he'll be suiting up as the newest receiver for the Montreal Alouettes.

Johnson had worked out for the team a couple of days ago, and evidently proved he was in shape enough to sign onto the CFL team.

The receiver exploded onto the scene in the NFL in 2003, his third year in the league. With the Bengals that year, he had 90 catches for 1,355 yards and 10 touchdowns. He made the AP's All-Pro 1st team twice in 2005 and 2006, then changed his name to Ochocinco in 2008 and things went downhill from there. His last full season in the league was with the Super Bowl bound Patriots team, on which he had little to no role.

A big acquisiton in the offseason, Ochocinco failed to grasp the Patriots complicated playbook and barely saw the field. He ended the year with 15 catches, the lowest of his career.

He was released after the season by New England and landed with the Miami Dolphins. However, after an incident in which he headbutted his wife during training camp, he was let go by Miami.

Now he's in Montreal!!
