Gronk raises $20k for fallen firefighters

March 26th was a very dark day for the city of Boston. Two firefighters died in the line of duty trying to save victims and put out a massive fire on Beacon St. There have been many funds set up, but the other night one special one happened at the Paradise Rock Club according to cbssports.com

Patriots Tight End Rob Grinkowski got up on stage to honor the Boston Firefighters saying "They are our true heroes, lets get Gronkin"

The event raised a total of $20,000 which will all go to the families of the fallen firefighters.

Gronk isn't the only member of the Patriots to be involved with the fire. The now iconic image of Tom Brady watching the firefighters work is one thing, his statement was another.

"On behalf of my entire family, I want to extend my deepest sympathies and condolences to the Boston Fire Department and the families of our brave and selfless firefighters who gave their lives for our protection and safety today, and to the entire firefighting community who protect us each and every day," Brady wrote. "All of you will be in our thoughts and prayers."
