Adrian Wilson signs with Bears

The Chicago bears have signed former Patriots safety Adrian Wilson.

Wilson had not played last year after rupturing his achilles tendon and spending the entire year on injured reserve.

Released by the Patriots on April 4th after failing to meet standards, Wilson was thought to be a sure in for the spot next to Devin McCourty, but Steve Gregory claimed that spot during the offseason.

The five time Pro Bowler will join Ryan Mundy, Chris Conte and rookie Brock Vereen on the Bears roster, and as long as he stays healthy, he could make a difference for the Bears. If he is injured, then its a whole other story.
