Gronk could return by week 1

Good news, Patriots fans. Tight end Rob Gronkowski could be ready to go as soon as Week 1, according to Brian Wilson of CBS Sports via Albert Breer.

Per CBS Sports:

"It's possible that he'd be ready for the start of camp, but he and the team aren't going to do anything to jeopardize the real goal, which is to have him on the field for Week 1," Breer notes.

While it would be nice to have him back earlier, Breer is right in saying that the Patriots don't want to push him back and have a scenario where Gronk is out for the year. And it's pretty hard to argue if you're a Pats fan, because I'm sure most of us would like to see Gronk play for a whole season without any problems. I know I would. A healthy Gronk is an exciting prospect to think about as he's one of the most dynamic tight ends in the game...when fully healthy. He'll be key for the Pats this year if he can get back to 100%. Just think about what may have happened if he had been healthy for the AFC Championship game against Denver. It's very possible the Pats could have been in the Super Bowl instead of Denver.

So, no rush Gronk. Just get healthy, preferably by Week 1, so you can go back to doing what you do best - catching touchdown passes for Tom Brady.
