Eagles CB Cary Williams hates the Patriots, calls them cheaters

Apparently, once you're a Raven, you're always a Raven.

That's the case with Eagles cornerback Cary Williams, who has never been shy about expressing his hate for the Patriots. Williams, of course, was a former Raven, a team never shy about expressing disdain for New England.

Williams' beef with the Patriots, in case you hadn't guessed already, has to do with spygate.

Ryan Wilson, CBSSports:
"They are cheaters," he said, referring to the Spygate scandal from seven years ago, via Philly.com.

And, it turns out, Williams' isn't particularly fond of joint practices with the aforementioned cheaters, a development that dates back to his days as a member of the Ravens.

"I give them all the credit in the world, but one fact remains: They haven't won a Super Bowl since they got caught," Williams said, echoing themes that the anti-Pats crowds have been bringing up for years.

"To me, it's not benefiting us, because they've already proven who they are," Williams said of the joint sessions in New England. "That's their history. I don't like them, not only because of that. I just don't like them.”

Of course, maybe Williams should be more concerned with his former teammate Ray Rice's recent controversy surrounding domestic abuse, but I digress.

Many point to the Patriots being cheaters because they used to place cameras on the wrong side of the sideline. Many have come out and belittled the act, saying it had nothing to do with the Pats winning Super Bowls and even that it was a common practice. Former Steelers coach Bill Cowher most recently said that he used to try to steal signals as well. Stealing defensive signals of course has become irrelevant in today's day and age where defensive players have headsets in their helmets.

Still, Cary Williams echos the statements of his former teammate Terrell Suggs, saying he just plain dislikes New England.

The Patriots hold joint practices with the Eagles starting on August 12th, and Williams is sure to make things interesting. Last year, Williams called the Patriots dirty during the practices. This after he started a fight on the field with then rookie receiver Aaron Dobson.
