How many yards will Tom Brady throw for this season? Over/Under: 4,800

Continuing our Over/Under series heading into the Patriots regular season opener, Tom Brady is in focus again, this time focusing on how many yards he will rack up through the air this season.

Over/Under: 4,800 yards
Prediction: Under- 4,600 Yards

In his eleven seasons as starter, Brady has eclipsed the 4,800 yard mark four times (2007, 2009, 2011, 2012), the high-water mark coming in 2011 when he threw for 5,235 yards. That season, in which the Patriots reached the Super Bowl, is the only time Brady has surpassed 5,000 yards.

I do think Brady is going to put up excellent numbers this year with a unit that should be much better than it was last year. Even last season, with the most depleted receiving corps Brady has ever worked with, he threw for nearly 4,400 yards. While I do think he will show an increase from this figure this season, I am not willing to bet on him exceeding 4,800.

Much of this is contingent on Gronk's health. The offense is a completely different beast when he is in there, and I think the team's ultimate fate will be directly tied to whether or not he is on the field.

I'm penciling in Brady for 4,600 yards through the air, to go along with 32 touchdown passes, which I wrote on last week. What do you guys think? Vote in the poll below or let us on Twitter: @PatriotsLife and @LC_NEP
