Patriots trade for DL Jerel Worthy from the Green Bay Packers
Perhaps a sign that the Patriots don't feel confident in the health of Sealver Siliga or Chris Jones, or Tommy Kelly or Will Smith for that matter, the Pats have just swung two trades for defensive linemen. First, Ben Bass from the Cowboys and now Jerel Worthy of the Packers.
According to his agent @ChafieFields, Packers DL Jerel Worthy has been traded to the Patriots, pending a physical.

Worthy is a low risk, high reward option for the Patriots. Bil Belichick likely pulled the trigger on trading for this former second round pick because of, surprise, the value.
Worthy has been in the league for two years now, but has barely played due to injury. He has yet to suit up for training camp this year.
According to ESPN, the Patriots will only give up a draft pick if Worthy makes the team. That's not too bad a deal.
The Pats have had good luck with these bargain type signings late in training camp before, LeGarrette Blount being the prime example last year.
