Brady wants Patriots offense to play like San Antonio Spurs
If you were going to compare two franchises in professional sports, you could hardly go wrong by matching the New England Patriots up with the San Antonio Spurs.
Both franchises have been models of consistency over the last 15 years, they boast a wealth of titles, are led by wily veterans and are each coached by the best in their respective game. However, the Spurs are the team coming off the back of a championship over a team with superior talent, and yet when faced with a similar situation in January, the Patriots couldn't quite get over the hump of the Denver Broncos and into the Superbowl. The Spurs were able to win in dominant fashion with a team-oriented style of play that made it almost impossible to pick an NBA Finals MVP, and Tom Brady is eager to harness this sort of energy to create a balanced, potent offense:

As we enter week 3, it is clear that this kind of goal could take some time to achieve. Brady has taken some stick after the first two games for perhaps forcing the ball to his favourite targets, and has acknowledged that it is a problem that will need to be fixed for the offense to improve:

While the defense looks to be an exciting unit capable of winning games for the team this year, the last thing Brady wants is for the team to be one-dimensional, particularly if it isn't going to be his guys carrying the load. Tim Wright looked capable of holding his own in pre-season, while Dobson is once again showing flashes with some big-ish plays to break up the monotomy of the 'dip-dunk-and-run' game. Amendola and LaFell are also patiently waiting in the wings. Hopefully Brady can find these guys more frequently, and they are capable of making plays on a more consistent basis. After all, whoever steps up could be this team's Kawhi Leonard come February (there's your motivation!).
