Browner not changing his physical style of play

At 6'4" and 220 pounds, Brandon Browner is not your typical cornerback. He is physical, strong, and not afraid to hit someone. Sunday's game against the Bears provided a glimpse of Browner's physicality. Although his performance on Sunday was encouraging, it continues to be plagued by unnecessary penalties. In two weeks, Browner has been penalized four times.

BostonGlobe:
I’m not going to change my game. New England knew what they got when they got me. I’ll try to work on it though, because the penalties will cost you.”

Given the tough upcoming schedule, Browner must find a way to keep his physical style and avoid making costly penalties. The Patriots secondary must be on top of their game as Denver makes their way into town. Whenever you play Peyton Manning, you must be disciplined and avoid giving him any easy yards or he will make you pay. Browner will more than likely be tasked with covering the likes of tight end, Julius Thomas or stud wide receiver, Demaryius Thomas. With Revis on the opposite side, I think this secondary will be asked to step up in a huge with given their injuries to Jerod Mayo and Chandler Jones.

Browner continues to improve and gel within the Patriots defensive system and has already proven to be valuable. Expect big things from Browner, as Belichick plans to leverage him to help neutralize Peyton's weapons.
