Rex Ryan on Tom Brady criticism, "that was hysterical"

When asked what he thought about the criticism that was heaped upon Tom Brady after the Patriots tepid 2-2 start Rex Ryan said,

Boston Herald:
“Yeah, that was hysterical, I thought. You know what I mean? It’s like, ‘Yeah, really? OK.’ I mean, come on."

Come on indeed.

Tom Brady and the Patriots have lit it up the last two weeks against what were supposed to be two of the better defenses in the AFC, the Bengals and the Bills. Brady specifically has been particularly sharp.

Two weeks ago the Jets have traveled to San Diego and were embarrassed both on and off the field. Starting QB Geno Smith missed a team meeting because of a timezone issue. And then back up QB Michael Vick, who played the second half of the game, admitted he wasn’t as prepared as he should be. They lost the game 31-0. Then they lost to the Bronco’s 31-17 last week to cap their current five game losing streak.

So in reality Rex and the Jets are in no position to criticize anyone, but that hardly ever stops Rex, so the short week must have him off his game a bit too. Or maybe its a timezone thing. Either way lets all go get a snack.
