The Patriots continue their dominance versus the division leaders of the NFL. This time it was the Detroit Lions, who came into the game as the NFC North division leader and a 7-3 record.

The Lions got on the board first with a 48 yard Matt Prater field goal. But it was all Patriots after that. With the offense responding with a 4 yard touchdown pass from Tom Brady to Tim Wright. The Lions answered with another field goal to cut the lead to one. Then Danny Amendola took the ensuing kickoff 81 yards setting up the offense with a short field. Legarrette Blount in his first game back with the Patriots scored on a short run, finishing the game with 2 touchdown runs.

The defense was able to keep Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson in check all game in route to keeping the Lions out of the end zone all game long.

Tom Brady finished they day 38/53 for 349 yards and 2 touchdowns and one interception as the Patriots extended their winning streak to 7 straight games. All of which they scored over 30 points.
