Julian Edelman on Tom Brady: 'I truly love that man'

Love. This word alone can easily sum up the emotion that was coursing throughout Gillette after Sunday’s blow out against the Indianapolis Colts. Clutch receiver Julian Edelman proved that when asked about his QB1.

"Tom Brady is Tom Brady," Edelman said, per CSN New England. "He was a sixth-round draft pick. A lot of people passed up on him. He's a Super Bowl Champion, Super Bowl MVP. He's been in a bunch of Super Bowls and he could care less about all of that. He just cares about winning the next game."

"That's our leader and that's why you have a guy like that leading us. He's an unbelievable person and I truly love that man. I do. It's great to have him a part of this team."

Seems the playoff beard- growing Edelman was being modest. Although all praises regarding Brady ring true, without the consistency and dedication of “Minitron”, the team would not be where it is today. If a big play needs to be made, you can almost guarantee Edelman will be in the mix of things making it happen. With big third down conversions, monster run backs and beautifully spiraled touchdown passes, the dude is as reliable as they come.

Sunday night, Edelman led the team with nine catches and a total of 98 yards. In the first quarter he was taken to the locker room for an apparent hip injury. However, he returned to the game with just under five minutes remaining in the second quarter.

The offensive weapon remains a trooper and won’t cause any doubts in our minds for being war ready in two weeks.

We did our job. We’re on to Super Bowl XLIX!
