Pats claim Falcons lineman Harland Gunn off waivers

With the day off from training camp yesterday, the Pats and head coach Bill Belichick took to some roster business by claiming Atlanta Falcons guard Harland Gunn off waivers.

The 6-foot-2, 310-pound lineman has appeared in 13 games for the Falcons in the past three seasons, starting in only one of those, which came last year. The 25-year-old entered the league as an undrafted rookie out of the University of Miami in 2012.

As CSNNE's Phil Perry points out, the Pats are dealing with some injuries on the O-line, as tackle Kevin Hughes left Saturday's practice with an apparent injury while starting right tackle Sebastian Vollmer has seen limited participation in camp as he recovers from offseason shoulder surgery. The tandem of guards Chris Barker and Jordan Devey have seen some time at the tackle position as Belichick has moved bodies around the line through the first week of camp.
