Patriots trade LB Jon Bostic to Lions

The Patriots have traded backup linebacker Jon Bostic to the Detroit Lions for a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. New England had acquired Bostic from the Chicago Bears just eight months earlier.

Bostic played in 11 games with the Patriots, making one start and recording two tackles on special teams.
