UPDATE: Patriots traded Bryan Stork to the Redskins instead of cutting him

Earlier this morning, it was reported by multiple outlets that the Patriots were going to cut Bryan Stork. Instead, the Pats traded him to the Washington Redskins for a conditional draft pick.

The #Patriots traded C Bryan Stork to the #Redskins in exchange for a conditional draft pick, source said. Deal being worked out now.

Mark Daniels of The Providence Journal reports that the Patriots did indeed inform Stork of his release, but believes the Redskins got involved in order to avoid trying to claim Stork on waivers.

The Patriots did inform Stork of his release this morning. I imagine the Redskins got involved after that to avoid the waiver wire
