Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett officially listed as questionable for Sunday vs. Bills

On the latest Patriots' injury report, both quarterbacks on the roster, Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett, have been listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.

There's been much speculation on which quarterback, if either, will get the start come Sunday when Buffalo comes to Gillette. Earlier in the week, it seemed like Julian Edelman might get his chance to relive his glory days as QB at Kent State when it was announced that the backup to the backup Jacoby Brissett might need surgery on his right thumb. However, it turned out to not be as serious as originally thought but there was still a question about whether or not he could play. Jimmy G on the other hand has been an enigma ever since he went down with a shoulder injury against Miami. Multiple reports came in after the game saying he would be out a couple months, then about an hour later it was said that he could return to play against Houston. His playing situation is as clear as a swamp but I'm leaning towards Jimmy starting come Sunday. He's looked strong in practice but there is still some concern that his shoulder is not up to par yet so we'll have to wait and see.

Out of all the things we don't know, we do know one thing: one of these quarterbacks will get the start on Sunday. If one or both of them were for sure not suiting up this weekend, the Pats more than likely would have brought in a veteran like T.J. Yates to come and be insurance or even start for a game. However, no quarterback workouts were scheduled, and it's a near certainty that one of these guys will get the nod in the final game before the Revenge Tour Part II begins with the return of Tom Brady.

UPDATE: Jimmy Garoppolo will start against Buffalo, according to multiple sources.

UPDATE: Sammy Watkins has been placed on IR by the Bills, will be out for at least 8 weeks.
