Tom Brady’s secret sideline drink

While scoping the sidelines at any given Patriots game, you’ll see guys stretching, drawing up plays, standing in a huddle, watching the game and drinking…lemonade?

Well, it’s a sort of lemon drink, and it happens to be quarterback Tom Brady’s choice of liquid refreshment. This secret concoction must be part of how he’s playing at an elite MVP-level at the age of 39.

“I have this lemon drink with a ton of electrolytes in it,” Brady said in an interview with WEEI’s “Kirk and Callahan” on Monday, “It doesn’t have any sugar. I just load it up on electrolytes and… it just keeps me right where I need to be.”

He credits the Patriots training staff for making it and claims that he doesn’t know how. They fill it up in regular Gatorade bottles or cups for him to drink on the sidelines.

This secret mixture comes as no surprise to anyone who’s even heard a little bit about Brady’s diet regime. He doesn’t eat sugar, white flour, olive oil, iodized salt, caffeine and much more because it’s bad for his body.

Staying so good for so long takes hard work.
