LeGarrette Blount shows up at Celtics game, says "give me some money"

LeGarrette Blount wants to return to the New England Patriots in 2017, and the Pats want LG to return, too.

The only thing stopping the two parties from making a deal is money, and Blount made that known at Wednesday’s Celtics-Cavaliers game. Joining him in attendance were Dion Lewis, Stephon Gilmore and team owner Robert Kraft.

It’s a bit of a sticky situation with the contract and everything, but that didn’t stop Kraft from going over and giving Blount a hug as the team members were seen on the big screen.

After the game, Blount weaved through a group of reporters and said aloud, “See, tell them I still got it. Give me some money.”

It’s hard to blame him for the comment, as he is coming off of a season in which he led the NFL in rushing touchdowns (18) and had 1,161 rushing yards.

The Patriots signed former Cincinnati Bengal running back Rex Burkhead earlier this offseason, to a one-year $3.15 million contract. Blount made just under $4 million in three seasons combined with New England. So, it’s no wonder Blount’s asking for more.
