Koa Misi will be going into training camp on the Miami Dolphins’ injured reserve list where he will remain for the season due to not being cleared by doctors to return from neck surgery. Misi was a former starting linebacker, but was out for 13 games last season due to this severe injury that was believed to have the possibility of being career ending. Fortunately due to a successful surgery he should be able to resume his career in the near future. He hasn’t played in a full season since 2011. This has led to him taking a pay cut to remain with the Dolphins. Misi’s best season came in 2015 when he had a career high in tackles with 59.

Since this move was made the Dolphins had an open roster spot and were able to sign former Pro Bowl cornerback Alterraun Verner. According to James Walker from ESPN, Verner is 28 years old and will have a great shot at seeing the field due to the Dolphins young group of corners. He is coming off a season where he only started 3 games, but looks to make an impact this season with the Dolphins. Check back tomorrow for more NFL news as training camps get rolling!
