Last Time Out…

The New England Patriots and the Oakland Raiders last met on Sept. 21, 2014 when the Patriots survived a close 16-9 victory at Gillette Stadium.

In a game in which the offense was having an off day, the defense pulled through. On the Raiders final drive, Darren McFadden had a 6-yard potential game-tying run into the endzone that was then called back due to a holding penalty against the Raiders’ guard Gabe Jackson.

On the next play, a pass intended for Oakland receiver Denarius Moore deflected off both Rob Ninkovich and Logan Ryan, before ultimately ending up in the hands of Vince Wilfork. This interception helped seal the victory for the Patriots.
