Antonio Garcia wasn't a free man for too long.

After being placed on waivers by the Patriots last Friday due to a non-football related illness, the New York Jets have claimed him. According to ESPN, the Jets view Garcia as a developmental prospect, as they are set at left tackle with Kelvin Beachum.

The Patriots had hoped the 2017 third-round pick would aid in replacing Nate Solder, who skipped town for the New York Giants when free agency opened. However, blood clots ruined his rookie season and he had just recently been cleared to play again.
