Rob Gronkowski says he will not come out of retirement

WBZ - TV

Rob Gronkowski may have announced his retirement a little over two months ago, but that hasn’t stopped the comeback speculations from swirling around.

The former New England Patriots tight end was very adamant in putting those rumors to rest when speaking to reporters on Sunday at Gillette Stadium for the One Mission Buzz Off charity.

“Whatever I say it doesn’t matter. It’ll always be crazy out there. You can’t put ‘em to rest,” Gronk said in regards to the comeback rumors. “I’m feeling good, I’m in a good place.”

According to him, personally, he’s done. But as Gronk says, it likely doesn’t matter because there will always be rumors of his return to the league for at least a season or two.

Gronk’s official retirement announcement came on March 24. He played nine seasons with the Patriots, while racking up 521 catches for 7,861 yards and 79 touchdowns during his career.
