The Patriots and Patrick Chung have agreed to a two year extension. Chung was originally signed through the 2021 season but his extension runs through the 2023 season. Chung has been a major contributor to the Patriots defense. In his 10 years with the Patriots, he started 112 of the 142 games he played. Chung is great in coverage and has posted 12 interceptions. Chung also has made 412 solo tackles and 719 total tackles. Field Yates from ESPN tweeted the terms of Patrick Chung's extension.

Extending Partrick Chung is a great idea for me. I love Chung. Not only is he great at his position, it clears up cap space this year and in the future. The Patriots could potentially now sign their rookie defensive back, Kyle Dugger. Kyle Dugger is a Division II Saftey out of Lenoir-Rhyne. Another positive will be him getting to sit behind Chung for the time being and learn from a great leader on the defense.
