NE Patriots release newest collaboration shoe with Nike

We weren’t prepared for the exciting plays we’ve gotten so far from this season’s National Football League, but we’re sure New England Patriots fans have long been preparing for this exciting release. On September 15, Nike finally dropped the latest version of the Nike NFL Pegasus, or the Pegasus 38. Patriot fans are in luck as the Pats were one of the 19 teams represented by the shoe.

Air Zoom Pegasus 38 New England Patriots Sneakers

While Nike has been known to constantly collaborate with the NFL, this is their first release that incorporates their new Air Zoom Pegasus 38 design. The limited-edition shoe features the iconic Patriot colors and their official logo printed on the heel. It’s made of 100% polyester, with mesh in the upper for a breathable sensation, and midfoot webbing that delivers security. It also makes use of the patented Nike React foam, which has aided athletes in platforms as prominent as the Olympics. The foam is more lightweight, springy, and durable, allowing for better cushioning and energy absorption. Additionally, the Pegasus 28 has a Zoom Air unit in the forefoot that provides more bounce with every step.

NE Patriots and Shoe Collaborations

This new release is just another addition to the history of NE Patriots gear. In September of 2020, as a homage to the Madden NFL video game series and some of the league’s greatest players, Jordan Brand created the Air Jordan 10 Player Exclusive cleats for NE Patriots’ very own cornerback Stephen Gilmore. Michael Thomas, wide receiver of New Orleans Saints received a custom pair as well. The brand decided to base the design on the iconic Air Jordan 10 Los and High silhouettes. Unfortunately, this pair is special and isn’t going to be released to the consumer market.

Another memorable release was the Patriots-inspired Lunar Force 1, which was made possible by Robert Kraft back in 2014. Robert Kraft, the owner of the New England Patriots, has long been a fan of donning Nikes as a more comfortable alternative to dress shoes. And as a former athlete, Kraft preferred sneakers as a relief from pain due to an old football injury. He would often show up to games in different versions of Nike Air Force 1s, often in a very bedazzled red, white, and blue colorway. So, following the previous Air Jordan 10 PEs, Nike released a version of the Patriots-inspired Lunar Force 1 to the public — the product of a collaboration between the brand and Kraft. Unsurprisingly, the shoe sold out in less than ten minutes.

Pegasus 37 vs. Pegasus 38
For those familiar with the older versions such as the 36 and 37, you’ll find that the refinements to the 38 have been made to cater to customer feedback. There had been complaints regarding the narrow sizing of the previous Pegasus renditions, so the Air Zoom Pegasus 38 now has a bigger toebox, although the rest of the fit is generally the same. Lastly, the 38 offers more foam than the 36 and 37, which makes it soft while allowing for a snappier recoil. It still has the same waffle-print soles for slip-prevention, making it ideal for any fitness activity.

If you’re a solid Patriot fan, don’t miss out on this limited collaboration. With the Bold New England Patriots graphics and colors, the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 NE Patriots sneakers will ensure everyone knows who you’ll be cheering for.
