Sherman wants Patriots to test him early

Bettina Hansen/Seattle Times
Seattle Seahawks corner back Richard Sherman sounds like he's ready for the Patriots, and who could blame him? The all-pro corner, in so many words, said he hopes that Tom Brady and Co. test him early.

"I don't know, hopefully," Sherman said, according to Vincent Frank of sportsnaut.com.

Sherman is dealing with an injured elbow that could limit his effectiveness in Super Bowl XLIX, but no one really knows exactly how injured he really is. He sustained the injury late in the NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers and could barely lift his left arm at all.

Normally, testing him early (or at all for that matter) could be disastrous, but in this case, you've got to see what you're dealing with here. As fellow Patriots Life writer Conor Frederick points out, he's had trouble with smaller receivers. A healthy dose of Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola could give them an advantage there, especially if Sherman is hurting more than he's letting on.

Sherman was also asked once again whether or not he thinks he's better than Darrelle Revis, but quickly shot down those questions with a classic response:

I don’t answer preschool questions. I like journalists…I don’t like people who just throw out dumb questions and try to incite controversy.

Sherman also went on to say that he doesn't compare his game to everyone else's, and that everyone plays a little differently. Media Day is gonna be fun.
